Guest Speaker

Deliver a 20–30 minute talk at the symposium on your research area or career path in biology. One-time commitment on Symposium Day, Spring 2027 — present in-person or join the online track.

1-day commitment

Resource Contributor

Help create and review beginner-friendly research guides, resource lists, and curriculum materials. Flexible, asynchronous — contribute on your own schedule.

Judging

Judges evaluate student research presentations on Symposium Day using a structured rubric calibrated for first-time researchers.

Time Commitment

One-day commitment. Symposium Day runs approximately 9 AM – 5 PM. Judges may attend for a full or half day based on availability, in-person or online.

Who Can Judge

Judges should have at minimum an undergraduate degree in a biological science or related field. Graduate students, faculty, postdocs, and industry professionals all welcome. Comfort evaluating research at a high school and middle school level is helpful.
